About This Project
The Green Dream Home in Kamloops, British Columbia, recognized as a winning entry in the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC) initiative EQuilibrium™ Sustainable Housing Demonstration Initiative, features Innotech Windows + Doors. We are pleased to have been chosen to supply two Terrace Swing Doors for this project, one installed in the master bedroom and the other in the dining room.
This project showcases a range of sustainable building methods, with goals centered on designing and constructing a residence that prioritizes a healthy indoor atmosphere, energy-efficient materials, minimal environmental impact, substantial resource conservation, and cost-effectiveness. The Green Dream Home strives to achieve near net-zero energy consumption, producing almost as much energy as it uses.
Innotech Terrace Swing Doors are ideally suited for the Green Dream Home. These doors, constructed with a hybrid of steel and unplasticized PVC, meet ENERGY STAR® qualifications for Zone B in Canada. Beyond their energy efficiency, they also surpass standards for resistance to water, air, and noise infiltration. These characteristics contribute to a healthier internal environment (stable indoor temperatures, elimination of drafts, and noise reduction) and a reduced ecological footprint (manufactured with recycled materials and lowering energy consumption for home cooling and heating).
