About This Project
This custom-designed residence in Pemberton, BC, seamlessly blends high performance with luxurious living. Conceptualized and constructed by TM Builders, this contemporary home captures stunning vistas of Mount Currie while providing year-round comfort.
Meeting Step 5 of the BC Energy Step Code requires a deliberate approach. It demands clearly defined performance targets, in-depth knowledge of advanced building techniques, meticulous material and technology choices, and unwavering attention to detail throughout the entire process. The outcome is remarkable: a highly airtight structure achieving an impressive 0.79 ACH50 rating. Key features of this high-performance home include:
Insulated concrete form (ICF) construction extending from the foundation to the roof
Generously sized, triple-glazed windows and doors
Purposefully designed structural overhangs to provide solar shading during the summer months
A high-efficiency air source heat pump for both heating and cooling
A double-sided Stûv wood-burning fireplace for effective supplementary heating
We extend our gratitude to the TM Builders team for their consistent commitment to high-performance construction standards.
