About This Project

Ket’acik & Aapalluk Memorial School, a K-12 institution located in Kwethluk, Alaska, offers a cutting-edge learning environment meticulously designed by Stantec to promote student development, learning, and overall achievement.

Recognizing the critical role of comfort in fostering a productive learning atmosphere, the school incorporates generous natural light, effective natural ventilation, and carefully regulated temperatures to create a healthy and pleasant interior. Windows are a prominent feature throughout the building, including in stairwells, restrooms, and communal spaces, ensuring ample daylight. Classrooms are equipped with large, operable windows to further enhance indoor air quality through natural ventilation.

In collaboration with our Alaskan dealer, Capitol Northerm, we provided our triple seal window system featuring triple glazing for the project. These tilt and turn windows represent a precisely engineered system utilizing premium components, designed to function cohesively and deliver exceptional performance in Alaska's demanding climate for years to come.
