About This Project
Situated within Portland, Oregon's vibrant cultural hub, The Jeffrey Apartments offers 80 affordable housing units to disabled individuals and those with special needs who have very low incomes.
The Jeffrey, a LEED® Gold Certified building, incorporates a high-performance building envelope designed to minimize both energy and water consumption. To further promote conservation, residents are responsible for covering their individual energy expenses. The architects utilized Innotech's energy-efficient hybrid steel + uPVC windows and doors, enabling them to incorporate expansive glazed openings into the building's design. The Tilt + Turn Windows and Tilt + Turn Doors ensure minimal heat loss during the winter months and reduced heat gain during the summer, contributing to lower energy costs for both tenants and the building owner.
Beyond energy efficiency, the architect aimed to create an aesthetically pleasing building that residents would be proud to call home. Innotech collaborated with the architects to incorporate innovative glass panel railings into the mulled window and side-hinged door assemblies, resulting in functional and contemporary Juliet balconies. A titanium acryl-protect exterior (exclusive to Innotech) with a white interior was selected. This acryl-protect exterior finish, featuring an acrylic glass layer integrally bonded to the window and door profiles, offers a durable and scratch-resistant color that will maintain its beauty for years to come.
