About This Project
Situated on Vancouver's renowned North Shore, The Brook is an energy-conscious residential project. Showcasing a distinct West Coast modernist aesthetic that capitalizes on scenic vistas and the natural landscape, the architects employed concrete, cedar, and glass to realize a sustainable building characterized by outstanding energy performance.
Engineered for a century of service, The Brook incorporates glazed walls comprised of floor-to-ceiling Innotech Fixed and Tilt + Turn Windows, integrated with Terrace Swing Doors and Tilt + Glide Doors. The developers selected Innotech products in lieu of aluminum-framed options, citing their superior energy efficiency, airtight and watertight construction, and long-lasting durability. Following installation, the developers also noted the windows' and doors' effectiveness in mitigating external traffic noise.
The high-performance glazing system ensures year-round comfort and reduced energy consumption, even on the south-facing facade. The glass regulates solar heat gain while maintaining optimal visible light transmission. Its low U-value is further enhanced by the Hybrid Steel + uPVC System's minimal conductivity.
