About This Project

Constructed in 1998, the Windward Passage building in Long Beach, Washington, experienced window and door leakage issues within a decade. To rectify the situation, Innotech windows and doors were chosen as replacements due to their established reputation for water resistance, structural soundness, and long-lasting durability.

Innotech's innovative hybrid steel + uPVC window and door system, incorporating a genuine pressure-equalized, rainscreen water management design, delivers exceptional defense against harsh coastal weather conditions. On-site water intrusion testing, conducted at a test pressure of 10 PSF, provided precise and reliable performance data for the selected windows and doors.

To guarantee lasting structural integrity, independent structural engineers assessed and validated the engineering of the new windows and doors. Subsequently, the architect and building envelope consultant confirmed the fulfillment of all system performance criteria. This meticulous approach was driven by the Windward Passage owners' firm commitment to selecting only the highest-quality windows and doors, thereby preventing future costly and avoidable replacements.

Innotech windows, featuring their exclusive Continuous Seal Technology, surpassed all on-site testing benchmarks. Now, shielded from coastal winds, torrential rains, and corrosive saltwater spray, the new Innotech windows and doors effectively safeguard both the residents and the building itself from the severe coastal environment.
